Just before Christmas I bumped into a friend, whose daughter was at school with Thomas until recently. She mentioned the new school and suggested we give them a ring, so I did, this morning. The headmistress invited Thomas and me to come and have a look round at 11am, and he starts on Wednesday! He's nervous about being the 'new kid', but he knows Hannah, and I'm sure he'll settle in really quickly. It's a lovely welcoming village school, with strong links to the local church. It has loads of after-school clubs, and Thomas has already said that he would like to join the football club.
We went out this afternoon and bought him his new school uniform, along with a school fleece, beanie hat and book bag. I hope he settles in - I'm sure he'll be fine.
Our weekend was very lazy - we took Ace for a lovely walk to the local country park yesterday - we all came back covered in mud and freezing! It was nice to sit in front of the roaring log fire Ian had made.

We had a similar situation where a child with "anger issues" and who lived with his dad due to divorce ended up biting ds on the eye!!!!! the school just didn't want to know until I informed them that I would report them to the LEA, and the police (it is assault if your child is harmed even by another child)this seemed to do the trick !!!!!! so glad we moved the school here has a sheriff with a gun in the school just for presence more than anything butit certainly does the trick the kids behave!!! your doing the right thing.
