It was Ian's 44th birthday yesterday. He originally wasn't going to take the day off, but a worsening noise on his car meant that Astley's needed to take a look at it, so home he was. The car was dropped off at 9am, and we were expecting it to be ready by around midday. Hah! The day a car is ready when they say is the day ... well, anyway, it wasn't ready until 3pm. The good news was that it was only a wheel bearing, and that was covered under the extended manufacturers warranty. Phew!
We decided to go out to Mulberry's for supper - the boys were fantastic, and Thomas ate the most enormous bowl of mussels!!
It was quite late when we got home, so straight to bed. Ian is back tonight because Chris and me have TKD - our new sparring gear arrived yesterday, so we want to use it!
