First day...

Chris started Senior school yesterday - he's attending Buckler's Mead in Yeovil. They are quite strict about uniform, but when I saw all the children coming out yesterday afternoon, they all looked so smart. Chris said his day was a little boring - they had orientation exercises in the morning, and spent the afternoon going through letters etc.

He was very tired though, and had a sleep after tea. Thomas enjoyed a day without his brother around - I treated him to lunch in town.

I am almost over the jetlag now - very strange to be hit so hard. Maybe I'm just getting old? I still don't have any grey hairs. (But I look for them every day!)

I finally did some crafting this morning - I completed my entry in Ifa's circle journal. That's it now, so by the end of the month I should get mine back. The Pinkettes CJ has ground to a halt somewhat. One of our team has been AWOL for months, and she has a couple of the journals. I wish people would face up to their responsibilities sometimes - yes, life can be crap(don't I know it!), but to totally ignore phone calls and messages is just plain rude.

Anyhoo, Chris is at Oliver's this evening, so it's just me and Thomas again.

Another picture from our recent trip, this time a sunset view from our balcony in San Diego:
