A Dog's Tail.

Poor Ace, she has lost her wag! We noticed yesterday afternoon that her tail was just...hanging. It appeared to have a little bit of swelling near the top, but she wasn't too bothered about us touching it. We think she may have strained something when shaking herself after the walk on Friday. She jumped in a lot of deep puddles, and shook herself vigorously after each soaking.

There was some improvement this morning - she could definitely wag, and when she went to the toilet she could straighten it, but generally is still letting it dangle. If it's no better tomorrow, then I shall take her to the doggy doctor. It's a bit bizarre, 'cos I hadn't realised how much of her personality was communicated by her tail.

We had a luscious sirloin of beef for lunch, with lovely roasties, cabbage, broccoli, carrots and sprouts. I also made some large yorkies - they were huge!! I used to have problems with them rising, not any more! I also attempted 'proper' gravy - without using granules, made on the hob - it was beautiful. I even impressed myself. We are all rather stuffed now!

An afternoon of vegging is in order.

Today's picture is Ace - my beautiful girlie.

Glad to hear she got her wag back. That happened to one of our labs, she basically did too much swimming and strained her tail, a bit of rest and she was fine!!!!
