Kalimera!

We're back! We've gone from temperatures in the mid 30's to 18 degrees, and from beautiful sunshine to cloud. Oh dear.

It's nice to be back in our own home, but boy, what a holiday.

The villa was everything we'd hoped for, and more. It was huge! With four double bedrooms, all ensuite, it was plenty big enough for the four of us. And the swimming pool was just incredible.

It was good to be back in Cyprus - the people are so friendly and welcoming, and the food is delicious.

Highlights of the trip include hiring a speedboat for the day, Ian and the boys giving it some on the petrol go-karts, and visiting Andreas and Anna in Kalavasos.

The speedboat was hired from Mahimos in Latchi harbour. It was so much fun. We stopped wherever we wanted and swam. Just blissful.

Ian did a great deal of the cooking because we had a proper mans barbecue - with a chimmney!


As you can see, it is a serious piece of kit.


Here is a typical evening meal - lamb souvlaki, pork souvlaki and halloumi (food of the Gods).



And the boys loved swimming in the pool.





Now it's back to reality...
